Up for the Challenge: Week 6

Hello Dancers Shape Challengers! How is everyone feeling now that we’re 2 weeks in to the New Year’s challenge? I’m feeling pretty good lately. I’m down 12 lbs and I’m nicely fitting into all my clothes again which makes me feel great. I feel more confident in how I look and that’s always nice. I’ve been blogging each week about my experience in the Dancers Shape barre challenges.

I’m also feeling more comfortable with my healthy routines. These good choices are becoming habits and I feel annoyed when I have to miss a workout. If I can’t make it to a Dancers Shape class I try to go for a jog or at least take Rufus for a long walk. I’m used to cooking healthy meals and buying fresh fruits/veggies to stock my fridge.

I took 2 Shape classes and Core class this week. I would have liked to go to more classes but my schedule was crazy. Maybe I can fit in 5 next week? I am going to try to do that! I think with my newly gained comfort and confidence there is also a bit of a risk. Now that I’m back to my “normal” size there are some ways I’m being more relaxed. For instance this week I had more than my goal of 3 glasses of wine in a week! I realize if I want to keep up my positive momentum and meet my weight loss goal I need to keep all of my healthy habits and not let old bad ones slip back in. That’s what I’ll work on this coming week.

Don’t forget that Dancers Shape is doing weekly giveaways this month to help motivate us and keep us going on our New Year’s resolutions. You can enter every week by posting to the Dancers Shape Facebook wall, tweeting them, or tagging them on Instagram.
