Quick Pre-Vacation Tips to Get Your Body Swimsuit Ready

We’ve all been there. You put off your diet and exercise routine until the last minute. Now your summer vacation is right around the corner, and you don’t feeling confident getting into that bikini! No need to panic, here are a few simple pre-vacation tips that will help you feel summer slim in no time.

1. Eat Clean

Think paleo, limit fruit and grains and eat lots of fresh veggies and lean protein with healthy fats (avocados, coconut oil, almond butter). The protein and good fats will give you energy and help you feel satiated longer. Limit the amount of processed foods to zero. This means shop on the exterior edges of the grocery store and avoid the middle aisles. Even packaged foods claiming to be healthy contain loads of sugar and sodium, making it impossible to shed those unwanted pounds. Remember, weight loss is all about calories in vs. calories out, so make sure the ones you are consuming will nourish your body and give you energy.

2. Drink Plenty of Water

Drinking water is the cure to getting the body to shed any extra water weight. Feeling bloated? Drink up! Also, replacing any sugary drinks with water is a great way to cut calories.

3. Get Your Workout On!

Blast calories by participating in high intensity work-outs. Try Dancers Shape’s Advanced, Power, and Cardio Wild Card classes. These classes rev up metabolism and blast calories. Plus you get your strength training in which will keep you burning more calories throughout the day. Working up a deep sweat also eliminates toxins from the body that could make you feel sluggish and slow your metabolism down.

4. Get Enough Sleep

Make sure you are allowing yourself a proper night’s sleep so you stay rested, focused and motivated for better decisions. This will allow you to really put the “pedal to the metal” during your workouts and avoid those sugar and carb cravings experienced with sleep deprivation. It’s true, there is nothing better than being armed with a good night’s sleep.

5. Try a Spray Tan

Let’s be honest. We all look a little fresher with a golden glow. A little self tanner can help camouflage problem areas like spider veins and cellulite and it also highlights body definition. Just don’t forget your real sunscreen when enjoying pool and beach time.
