Life gets busy and we don't always have as much time as we'd like to make time to exercise. Some days you have busy mornings and evenings too! But don't worry we have some quick ideas that will help you squeeze a little workout in on your lunch break! Even a little bit of exercise will help break up your day, release endorphins and make you feel better.
Lunch Break Workouts
Dancers Shape
Express Shape
Get a quick 45 minute workout in at our Express Shape class at noon on Tuesdays & Thursdays! This class has the same burn and toning effects you feel in Shape but in a condensed amount of time.
Take the Stairs
Skip the elevator and take the stairs on days when you can't make it to a class. Take 15 - 20 minutes over lunch and jog or hike briskly up several flights of stairs. You'll be surprised at your increased heart rate while building leg strength!
Take a Walk
If it's a nice day outside bring some sneakers to work and go for a brisk walk on your break. You can do this 2 - 3 times in 10 minute increments throughout the day to attain 30 minutes of light cardio. Enjoy the outdoors and refresh your computer glazed brain and posture.
Simple Strength Training
Try doing some strength training in your office. Simple moves like planks, push-ups and lunges will get your blood flowing and build muscle. They can also be done in small spaces!
