Welcome to our newest blog series: Love Local. Here we will be featuring fellow small, locally-owned businesses in the neighborhood. We love our local Burnet Road location and supporting fellow small Austin-owned businesses.
One of the yummiest places on Burnet Road is The Peached Tortilla. Their Asian/Southern fusion is awesome for happy hour, casual dinners, brunch and now lunch. We were excited when founder Eric Silverstein took a few minutes to chat with us about this delicious eatery.
Dancers Shape: What do you love about this neighborhood?
Peached Tortilla: I think the neighborhood is up and coming and has a great mix of old and young. There a lot of young families in the area. People are always walking their dogs and babies on the back streets and everyone says hi to each other.
DS: What is the most rewarding part of owning a small business for you?
PT: I wake up and get to enjoy what I do every day.
DS: What makes your business special?
PT: I believe our business has soul. We cook from the heart and everything we put out comes from a place of great care. Since we started out as a food truck, we had the unique opportunity to grow our business into a restaurant, catering business and event space.
DS: Do you have any upcoming events or specials you'd like us to share?
PT: We just started lunch! Before we were dinner only and Sunday brunch. Now there is lunch from 11am to 2pm. Check out the menu!
