We're excited to welcome our newest instructor to the Dancers Shape family. Corrie (pronounced Ca-ree) is a Longhorn alum (hook em!) and she's also got big dreams of being a Rockette! Read more about Corrie below!
Welcome Corrie!
Dancers Shape
About Corrie:
Corrie is a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a major in Communication Studies and minor in Dance. While at UT, Corrie had the opportunity to perform under the direction of Broadway veteran Danny Herman in a musical revue production called Curtain Up! and was featured in a UT capital campaign commercial. She also was selected to be a dance demonstrator and director’s assistant for the Texas Musical Theatre Workshop, where she assists Broadway professionals in leading dance classes for aspiring high school performers from all over the state. This July will mark Corrie’s sixth summer of attending the Rockettes Summer Intensive in New York City where she spends a week dancing in Radio City Music Hall and performs in a showcase under the direction of the Rockette’s director and dance captains. She absolutely loves studying and training in the legendary precision technique and continues to work towards her goal of becoming a Rockette.
During her freshman year of college, Corrie discovered Dancers Shape and saw firsthand how the total body toning class transformed her body by building strength, stability, and flexibility. Last summer she completed a Pilates Sports Center training program to receive a certificate in barre technique. She has also completed her two month Dancers Shape training program and looks forward to being a part of the Dancers Shape team!
When Corrie isn’t dancing and teaching, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, watching Texas football, eating chocolate, and singing Disney songs with her sister.
