Therapeutic Pilates
The Pilates method is well accepted within the medical community as a safe and effective tool for countering the effects of many orthopedic and neurological issues. In this 55-minute private session, you will work one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist to address your fitness and rehabilitation goals. Common issues/conditions include:

Your therapeutic Pilates session will be diagnosis specific, based on current research, and customized for your individual capabilities. Sessions include hands on bodywork as needed, functional movement screen, posture and gait analysis, Pilates equipment workout, and specific home exercise program designed to help you meet your wellness goals.

Meet your physical therapist
Dr. Toussaint Biondi
Physical Therapist & Director of Therapeutic Pilates Program
Toussaint Biondi, PT, DPT, is a women’s health physical therapist specialized in Pilates-based pelvic rehabilitation in Central Austin. She received her Doctorate in Physical therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas and her B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a board-certified orthopedic specialist with focus on antenatal and postpartum rehabilitation. Dr. Biondi is also a Stott Pilates certified instructor.
As a pelvic floor physical therapist, former professional dancer, and mom of two, the Pilates Method has been the foundation of her rehab programming for over fifteen years. Dr. Biondi’s clients run the gamut from newly postpartum moms to professional athletes and everyone in between. Her approach is aligned in evidence-based medicine with the goal of helping all patients find joy in movement.
You can expect a 55-minute, one-on-one session which may include manual therapy techniques, posture and gait analysis, Pilates equipment work, and a detailed home program tailored to meet your goals.
